The Rolling Stones, Freedom Hall 75. I was 10. I think the only way my sister could go is if she took me. There was a nausea producing smell coming from the row in front of us. I had no idea what I was experiencing. I went straight home and wrote about it in my diary. I've seen the Stones since at Freedom Hall again, Cardinal Stadium, and at Churchill Downs.

First big show - free Seals and Crofts show in the stadium at the KY State Fair, probably 1974. First real, paid-for, good-smelling show was Yes at Louisville Gardens, 1976.

My first concert (without parents) was Beastie Boys and Run-D.M.C. at the Fairgrounds circa 1986. I think I was in 7th grade. Probably too young for the things I saw and smelled.
